The US Marine Corps Hornets (163166/VW-06, 162430/VW-03, 162451/VW-04, 162849/VW-15, 162466/VW-07, 162442/VW-05) of VMFA-314 "Black Knights" are the first of a batch of 12 that routed Sigonella to Lakenheath heading back home to Miramar, CA in the USA routing up over Teesside, abeam Newcastle then towards Leuchars. The second batch which contains only 4x Hornets (two left at Lakenheath one u/s) consist of 163129/VW-00, 163120/VW-08, 162396/VW-09, 162877/VW-11) are routing the same way. All five were (1500) orbiting just South of Teesside awaiting the other tanker to arrive at 1535 before heading North.
