Notes  : Typhoon code changes - There has been some changing of codes,  Visual sightings are recommended on what
seems like possible out of sequence codes being corrected as well as old boxes from retired aircraft being used?
I've tried to sumarise the changes in this column, but does prove difficult at times. The dates are when we have noted them
not official change dates. We do recommend VISUAL sightings when trying to confirm codes, there are some data bases that are
using "predicted tie ups" and as we know this IS NOT always the case. We are pretty sure (as well as we can be, it is hard to
keep track of them) that the codes listed and tied up are correct as best we know.
Army Air Corps Apache - We would strongly recommend that the current mode S tie ups are not used to identify Apache's, a
a number of aircraft are in the USA for rebuild and it looks like the Mode S boxes are being used on other aircraft.
